What if you could only have one meal a day?
Our dearest Kathy kangaroo & Emerging Om group, with bags of chocolate candy & lollypops, came for a visit to our K – 12 school in Rishikesh India. The happiness she brought to our 400 poor & untouchable kids in 2014 were talk of the school for very long time.
Every person in her group committed to sponsored one or few child’s food, healthcare & education in our school.
It was then she adopted our school as her own, when we needed fund for our “all you can eat” lunch program she herself & her Emerging Om group donated. Latter when we started breakfast program for our hungry kids, Emerging Om provided daily glass of milk for all the kids.
During Kathy’s first school visit, in our kindergarten she met a little girl with leukemia with no hope to live name Sanjana. Kathy recognized Sanjana’s fragile appearance & her bald head & and asked her about her condition. When Kathy heard Sanjana’s sad story immediately she took Sanjana in her arms & cried. She sponsored Sanjana’s education & took a photo of her to Emerging Om alter in USA.
Daily Kathy from far away sent Sanjana healing energy and yearly came to give her hug.
Today Sanjana is cancer free, her hair grow back, she is a tall, chubby & happy girl studying in class 4th, She loves Kathy & always asking me when Kathy ji is coming to hug me?
Sanjana’s miracle healing story remains one of the highlight story of our school. It reminds us the power of love, healing & compassion exist even so far away.
Emerging Om group & Kathy’s kindness & generosity is daily showering our 400 kids past 5 years we are so lucky to meet Kathy & her fantastic group.
